Part 6
Dedede was walking around the castle making sure everything was in order, when Gooba came running up to him. “Gooba!” Dedede exclaimed picking up the small fox “looks like yous did a good job here. Everythin is how itsasposed to be. Good work!” he put the little fox back down and ordered “now I want’s ya to destroy Kirby!” The little fox nodded and ran down the hall.
Tiff, Tuff and Kirby were walking back to Sir Ebrum’s room when they heard something approaching them from behind. Looking back they saw a small fox running towards them. It ran up to Kirby and sat at his feet, looking up at the pink puffball. “What is it?” Tuff asked. “I think it’s a baby fox.” Tiff answered. “What’s it doin in the castle, Tiff?” “I’m not sure Tuff.” She looked down at the fox who appeared to be fixated on Kirby. The star warrior looked at the fox questioningly “poyo?” The fox walked up to Kirby and nuzzled against him. Kirby picked up the fox, which licked his face happily. Kirby giggled and Tiff and Tuff smiled. Tiff walked over to Kirby “c’mon Kirby. We should probably find its parents. It’s parents are probably worried.” She walked back the way they had come followed by Tuff and Kirby, who was still holding the fox.
Meta Knight, Sword, Blade and Sailor Dee had gone back into the castle and were heading towards the King’s throne room to investigate if any monsters had been ordered recently. They were walking along a hallway when they saw Tiff, Tuff and Kirby, holding a small fox, walk down a different hallway. Meta Knight watched them for a moment before saying “Sword, Blade, I want you to investigate the king’s throne room. Sailor Dee, follow me, we need to keep an eye on Kirby.” The Waddle Dee nodded and followed Meta Knight after the children.
Tiff, Tuff and Kirby had walked to the border of Whispy Woods. “Tiff, are you sure about this?” Tuff asked. “Of course I am Tuff, who better to ask about an animal of the forest then Whispy? He knows all about the forest and who lives there. We’ll find this baby fox’s parents in no time.” With that said, she lead the others in the woods. Meta Knight and Sailor Dee watched them disappear into the forest before heading in themselves.
Tiff, Tuff and Kirby followed their well-worn path to Whispy’s clearing. A short while after entering the woods the little fox began to squirm in Kirby’s arms, and managed to wriggle out and ran off the path and deep into the woods. Kirby called out to it “poyo!” but the fox was gone. Kirby hung his head as Tiff and Tuff walked back to him. “Its ok Kirby” Tiff said, “I’m sure he’ll be fine.” “Yeah,” Tuff added, “and he’ll find his parents.” “C’mon Kirby, lets head back,” Tiff said and began to lead the way out of the woods when a roar stopped her in her tracks. The children turned and saw Wolfwrath running straight at them. They screamed and ran back the way they had come, the monster gaining every second. “I thought you said that Kirby destroyed that monster!” Tuff called from behind his sister. “That’s what Sword and Blade told me!” Tiff called back. Kirby, trying to keep up with the others, tripped on a root and fell. Tiff and Tuff quickly stopped and called to their friend “Kirby!” The star warrior struggled to his feet while behind him Wolfwrath pounced. “Kirby!” they called again. Kirby looked over to see Wolfwrath lunging at him and ducked, waiting for the attack. Just before the monster attacked, Meta Knight leapt down from a nearby tree and blocked the beast’s claws with his sword. “Meta Knight!” Tiff called from behind him. He glanced at her for a moment “run!” She nodded, grabbed Kirby and her brother and fled.
Meta Knight focused all his attention to Wolfwrath, who had jumped back a few feet and now faced him growling. Sailor Dee peaked behind a nearby tree to watch the battle and make sure Meta Knight was alright. The star warrior took a step towards Wolfwrath, who’s growl intensified before he turned and fled deeper into the forest. Meta Knight walked a bit farther into the forest, yet found no sign of Wolfwrath anywhere. He sheathed his sword and began to leave the forest, Sailor Dee close behind. “Sailor Dee, I do not understand,” Meta Knight spoke as they left Whispy Woods, “that monster has already been defeated. How could he be here again?” He thought for a while as they left the woods and headed back to the castle. Finally he spoke again “we must find out if Sword and Blade have discovered anything. Come.”
