Ch.2
Shadow had landed face down on a beach near the ocean. He sat up, spit some sand out of his mouth, and stared out at the sea. Curse that Silver! He stopped me before I could avenge Maria’s death! I can’t believe the truth was hidden from me for so long…Tails, betraying the Professor, Knuckles, commanding the shut down of the ARK, me and Maria running for our lives, and Sonic…Sonic, my biggest rival, killing my best friend. It all makes sense…but then again…
This took place 50 years ago, on a space station. How did they all ruin my life back then, then act like nothing ever happened 50 years later? Did they keep quiet due to government orders? On top of that, how did they live so long without showing any signs of aging? Were their ancestors the ones on the ARK? No, no that makes no sense…
Shadow shut his eyes and tried to remember everything that had happened to him. It had all began when he had a flashback of Maria’s death, and he noticed something familiar about the gunman’s eyes…they were Sonic’s…
Then, after he had learned that Tails was the Professor’s assistant, and that Rouge knew all about his past and wouldn’t tell him, no matter how much he threatened her…Silver had appeared.
Sonic and I…we opened a portal through space, and Silver fell out of it…did we open a portal through time as well?
He remembered back to Silver, right after he first arrived, glancing around and saying “This place looks like nowhere I’ve ever seen.” Silver…did he come from a distant time? That might be possible; chaos control has numerous effects…and that would make sense! It makes perfect sense…
Shadow’s hand reached over and fell on a pointy object. Looking over, he realized that it was the green emerald Silver had stole from him. He picked it up, and stood up, holding up the emerald. It gleamed in the fading sunlight. He knew what he had to do. “Chaos control!” He commanded, and vanished in a flash of light.

Silver had taken Tails to the same hospital Rouge was in; the fox was in a room a floor below and on the opposite side of the building as Rouge. As Silver began to leave, he overheard a nurse talking to a doctor about a bat. Curious, Silver stopped to listen. “The bat, Rouge, is making a speedy recovery, last time I heard. I have orders to check on her tonight.” The nurse told the doctor, who nodded. Rouge! Silver thought she’s that bat I had to protect from Shadow! Well, good to know she got here safe and sound. He decided to pay the bat a visit, and found her room number.
When he reached the hallway, he was stunned: there was rubble everywhere and a gaping hole in a wall. Silver crossed over the rubble and knocked on the door. There was silence, then a women’s voice, “come in.” Silver entered and saw Knuckles sitting on a chair by Rouge’s bed, where she was sitting up. “Hi, I’m Silver.” Silver announced, walking up to her bed. Rouge gave him a small smile in return. “I’m Rouge the bat.” Knuckles stood up “where’s Shadow?” “I sent him far away, using chaos control.” Silver replied proudly. “And Sonic?” Knuckles asked. Silver shrugged, then became worried Sonic, the one who Shadow’s really mad at, thinking that Sonic was the one who killed his friend, he’s still out there, somewhere. He’s also hurt, and can’t run! “I’ll go and find him, “Silver said, and walked out. In the hallway, he took out his chaos emerald, said “chaos control.” and warped away. Knuckles came out right afterwards and jumped out of the hole.

Sonic was limping through a meadow when, at the same time, a flash of light appeared in front of and behind him. Shadow appeared before him, and Silver behind him. At the same time, each hedgehog took out their emerald and stared at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. Silver readied himself to use his psychokenisis, Shadow’s fist began to glow with electricity, and Sonic got ready to run, bad ankle or not. Suddenly, all three emeralds glowed and flew out of the hedgehog’s hands and into the air above their heads. The emeralds didn’t glow as brightly as when chaos control was induced, however they did glow brightly. The hedgehogs looked up, together, at the emeralds, everything else gone from their minds, before they were enveloped in a flash of light…
