I was with a young woman…a princess. She was holing a decorative bowl which held a single flame. Tears coursing down her cheeks, she was saying “I don’t care what happens to the world!” “Elise,” I said, comfortingly, “just smile.”

Rouge was in trouble; I went to help.

Rouge and Omega

Rouge was talking to Omega, who said “When something is seen as ‘too powerful’, it is eventually seen as a threat. And then the world becomes his enemy.”
The light subsided. Sonic, Shadow and Silver stood there, looking at each other. Nobody said anything. The emeralds ceased the glow and fell to the ground by their feet, and Shadow grabbed his. Silver, acting quickly, grabbed his as well. At the same time, Shadow and Silver said “chaos control!” A swirling vortex opened, yet both hedgehogs ignored it. Silver was about to use his powers when Shadow ran up to him, grabbed him by the tuft of fur on his chest and threw him into the vortex, which closed behind him. While this was happening, Sonic had grabbed his own emerald. He tried to limp away, but Shadow grabbed his arm “you’re not going anywhere, Sonic. You’re going to pay for Maria’s death!”
Shadow punched Sonic in the stomach and the hedgehog fell to his knees. Shadow then punched Sonic in the mouth with enough force to send him flying a few feet. He landed on his stomach and lied still. Shadow walked over and put a foot on his back. Sonic struggled to get up, but Shadow wouldn’t let him. He leaned close to Sonic’s face and said “time to pay for destroying my past.” He got off Sonic and clenched his fist, which was sparkling with electricity.
He was punched in the mouth and fell onto his side.
Quickly getting back to his feet he saw who had punched him, “Knuckles.” The echidna was currently checking on Sonic, who was alive, but just barely. Knuckles stood and glared at Shadow, who smirked. Knuckles looked confused until Shadow held up his chaos emerald. Knuckles grabbed Sonic and just as Shadow was initiating chaos control, the echidna knocked him aside and jumped, with Sonic, into the flash of light that appeared. They vanished from sight. Shadow glared at where they had vanished, then turned and walked off the other way.
Knuckles and Sonic may have escaped…for now. However Tails and Rouge are already seriously injured, and have no means of escape.
They will all pay for destroying my life!
